Not that great as far as accommodating me as a child when I was a child I got I don’t know how to say this other than kicked out I only lasted 3 to 4 days did not fit in kids bullyd me and the last night I was there we were camping outdoors and my body was doing some weard involuntary stuff I had undiagnosed Lennox gastaut syndrome a severe slowly evolving epilepsy I had silent seizure when I was younger and they got blown off as being from adhd but my body was doing weard things 3 kids in a tent me and 2 other people and kids were telling me I was touching them but I was unaware and they were bullying me they scared me into not sleeping I never fit in turns out I was essentially having nocturnal complex partial seizures in my sleep and I was moved to the hammock as a punishment for not sleeping and then in the morning I woke up disoriented and asked were I was and recovered fast after being told we were on the camp site and I couldn’t sleep after breakfast and a staff got irritated with me and then eventually another staff took me down while I was crying because the camp was fun and I felt like i was in trouble with the camp no not quite rather I was kicked out because they couldn’t deal with my situation I was told I was not a bad person but never stopped crying and then was told something devastating I have special needs by I think the camp manager or counselor this was years and years ago and he told me he had to deal with people like me with special needs and that I was not a bad person however the best sensory experience ever was stolen from me because they couldn’t handle children like I was when I was younger sadly and it was the smell of the camp the trees smell so good i gave 5 stars because of the fun I had dispite being bullied and bully’s lieing about what was actually happening I was unaware and my body close to 2 other children in my sleep I was doing involuntary things and touching the other kids next to me mind you I was a kid too back then I would not recommend parents who think there children might have special needs send there children there I was also diagnosed with autism in my teens late autism diagnosis and adulthood correctly diagnosed with Lennox gastaut syndrome a severe form of epilepsy that for me was slow to evolve I lost the biggest sensory anchor there the trees and never got to do the rest of what they were going to do at the camp sadly and yes there’s grief behind that and I don’t want any children going through that too my parents were already suspecting autism but it ended up being more than just autism it ended up being LGS a developmental and epileptic encephalopathy DEE I grieve not being able to expireince the rest of the camp it was so cool there was so much I could have gotten to do that I never got to do because they didn’t specialize in having campers there with special needs sadly

I’ve never experienced a places who’s primary focus was the betterment of the child. Their directors are very professional, very hospitable and are hands on with the children every day! Teachers were also professional and patient. The food is to die for, something a lot of the children that were there can’t and probably won’t be able to eat as well as they did. All around wonderful place for the children which helps their community!!

Amazing people! This is truly a wonderful place! Every child should have the opportunity to attend at least 1 season! We changed schools for my daughter because I couldn't handle the public schooling anymore, but she is still invited to attend every year and best believe she will drop anything and everything to go!!!

This camp has been in our family for 23 years. It has been directly responsible for helping our family cope with several years of adolescent health (coping mechanisms, mental health, family values, etc.). My youngest daughter, my husband, and I admired the way Sanford and Binky were so kind and supportive. God bless this group and the miracles they produce.
