Palmyra Area Recreation & Parks Commission runs a nine-week summer day camp at Lingle Elementary for children in completed grades K-8, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with sports, games, crafts and learning activities. It also offers specialized soccer, field hockey, tennis and basketball camps through the summer.

The refs use the opportunity to teach in the moment while making sure the kids are most importantly, having fun. These programs are relatively low cost which allows more kids to participate. ★★M JohnsonSports are arranged for Palmyra through this center. If you sign your kid up for ANYTHING be prepared to be provided with no information. You will not be provided any information by “coaches” or staff. They say they sent you an email, but it’s nonsense. I’m not picking on them, just be prepared to hound the coaches and staff for even the smallest tidbit of information. I’ve signed my kid up for two sports and this is common practice according to other parents as well. Prepare yourself and Good Luck!
