Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center on Hilton Head Island runs summer junior tennis clinics, including a Monday–Friday program (about 9:30–11:00 a.m.) for ages 11 to 17 with beginner-to-tournament instruction grouped by ability. Younger juniors (from age 5) are served in additional junior clinics.

We showed up with an agenda & specific notes of what we wanted to learn during our lesson, which we shared upon arrival. On a dime, they shifted what they had originally planned to teach us. Not only did they accommodate our lesson goals, they far exceeded our lesson goals! We had 3 coaches, which meant 1 coach per 4 players. All of us got “live feedback” and “live coaching” as we drilled. Their instruction was clear, easy to understand, and all the “technical skills” they taught were complimented with game strategy coaching as well. We felt our lesson was a great value for the money, and our coaches far exceeded our expectations. This is an amazing pickleball resort and these 3 coaches are GOLD - Coach Nancy, Coach Chris & Coach Rick. Loved them! (Although I’m sure all the coaches there are top-notch, these are the 3 our group worked with).

Patrick is truly one of a kind—his energy and personality make every session both fun and challenging. He has a unique ability to work with players of all skill levels at the same time, even on the same court, without anyone feeling left out. That’s not easy to do, and he makes it look effortless. Eric has clearly built a great program and culture there. Both he and Patrick are engaging, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping players improve. Highly recommend for anyone (juniors and adults) looking to elevate their game while actually enjoying the process.
