Pacific Whale Foundation, the nonprofit behind PacWhale Eco-Adventures, runs Ocean Camp for grades 2-5 and 'A Deeper Dive' for grades 6-8 at its Ma'alaea Discovery Center on Maui. Weekly ocean themes include hands-on science, games, crafts and daily field trips, including private snorkel trips aboard PacWhale vessels. Camp runs Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with scholarships available.

This was not on the schedule for the day. First mate Aaron provides amazing, kind customer service. He would do well as a server in a high end restaurant. And Josh was wonderful, graciously educating us about the ecology we were seeing including leading us on a Reef edge drift snorkel along Molokini’s deeper side. PacWhale goes above and beyond every time! The education they provide, the quality of service, and the quality of food and beverage are full tilt amazing! I just love you all for what you do each and every adventure.

There was shade on the boat but the good viewing spots were very sunny so bring sunscreen. It was nice and cool once the boat got going.
★★★★★Abby WeedenOur large group of nine took the Sunset and Celestial Cruise with Harriet Witt speaking in mid-November and it was one of my favorite things we did on our trip to Maui. We were lucky to see two whales even though we were told it was early in the season to be seeing them. Due to high winds, they weren't able to take the boat as far away from shore as they usually do, so some there was some impact from the lights at shore on the star gazing experience. We absolutely loved Harriet's narration! Members of our group ended up laying on our backs at the bow and could really take in what she was sharing. It was such a unique experience and getting to learn from someone like her was an amazing opportunity. The food was a nice treat but not the reason to go on this cruise.
