We did a snorkeling tour to the Molokini Crater and the experience was amazing!! All of the crew were exceptionally friendly and you could tell that they all loved their jobs. Captain Andrew was super funny and very experienced. Even when we were tying up to snorkeling, he was really patient and the whole crew worked together to make it happen. We could tell that the diver tying us up was new, but the support from the Captain and the lead woman out front were fantastic. They were so supportive and patient. The boat was great - good views and clean. Griffin (on the microphone) was passionate about whales and ocean life in general. He was super engaging and an absolute pleasure to listen to. We saw lots of whales cause we were there in peak whale season. I think if I ever do more boat tours I will 100% use the Pacific Whale Foundation. It was professional and fun! Also, Griffin did not get mad when we went too far at the coral reef/turtle town, because we were following 5 turtles. He then called the rest of the passengers over to see what we were seeing. Only complaint, but it is not really a complaint, would be that the food was meh. We were not there for a gourmet meal, which is why I am not complaining. I just know some people have unreal expectations about what will be served. We loved that any extra profits goes back into supporting research and conservation efforts towards our oceans. 1/21/2026 1:15pm whale watching on Ocean Spirit was awesome. All of the staff were great, which helped make this a memorable experience. We saw humpback whales swimming, splashing, breaching, and slapping their tails. We especially enjoyed seeing the baby whales and listening to the whale songs, which were played live over the catamaran's speakers. Lunch aboard the boat was also delicious, and just the right amount.

Overall good trip. 8am whale watching on the Ocean Voyager. 2 hours from launch to tie-up. Super friendly crew. Boat was 2/3 full (~70 passengers), a bit crowded to reliably get good views of whales. Saw about 6 groups of whales, 5-6 flukes, no breaches. Lead crew member/guy (Rich) on microphone was okay, but has no marine biology education, so his info was a bit superficial. Other crew members could have been more attentive in spotting; they missed at least two or three opportunities cause they weren’t spotting (chatting with each other mostly).

This tour was by far the best snorkeling trip during my stay in Maui. The crew itself made this tour the best. The Captain, Anna was experienced and did her best to ensure we saw what we were all hoping to see. Since it was not whale season, we were all hoping to see dolphins. Not only did we see many dolphins, she spotted something in the water and decided to venture over to check it out. It just so happened to be two 12-ft wide Manta Rays. We spent 30 minutes watching them give us a show around the boat. The tour was also informational about the different marine species in the area, the company itself, and their part in preserving all Marine life. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui. You will not regret it.

My husband and I went on the sunset dinner cruise and we enjoyed ourselves. The boat was new, the crew great, the captain was very informative and we enjoyed his narration. The dinner was actually pretty good (I wasn't sure about boat food), we had chicken and steak, drinks were a little weak but good. The main event was the gorgeous sunset! It was perfect! Overall I recommend this excursion, the only thing that they can't control is that there were some rough and bumpy parts of the ocean, so something to be aware of and take meds if needed. Mahalo!
