The Otsego County Sportsplex has run a summer day camp in downtown Gaylord since 2008, offering swimming in its pool, skating on its ice rink, pickleball, tennis, crafts and field trips. Camp is for ages 5-12 and runs June 8 to August 21 with drop-off from 7:30am and pick-up by 5:30pm, presented as a full-summer child care option. Families can enroll by the day, three or four days, or the full week, and pre-registration is required.

★★Drake KidderIt would be 5 stars if it weren't for the day camp program. most of the councelors are mean, authoritarian, and biased towards the littles and girls, the dodgeball area is a gladiator arena, the "calm" area has people running all over the place and screaming until their vocal cords hurt, the councelors don't bat an eye, but as soon as my group is a singular decibel above their "zen volume", all the punishments they can possibly give are released. And don't even get me started on the punishments. To some they may seem normal, but it's a secret torture method. They make you do nothing while everyone else does what they want, and they make you watch. Take it from a camper there, it's jail in disguise. The only good part is swimming, which they cut short. They promise an hour, but it's only 20 minutes! WHAT THE HECK! Everything else is good though. It has a nice ice rink, nice tennis and pickleball courts, an amazing pool, good swim lessons, and a really nice ice rink, with rental skates. A really nice atmosphere in the lobby. Really nice karate lessons every Tuesday and Thursday, taught by two amazing and competent teachers.
★Anon YmousWhile we had fun ice skating. And the people were friendly. The ice skates had hair in them, didn't seem to clean. And broken laces. Also I ended up getting athletes foot by the time we left. They were only open for a hour and a half. So I suggest to bring your own skates. Or your own spray for the skates if you rent them.

★★★★★Elizabeth Scheuer-MurphyWent here for a hockey tournament. Arena was nice. They had food for the players. What a nice touch. Looking around the pool was very nice looking. They had a snack bar and a smoothie bar. Only thing I wish they had the heaters on in the arena. Pretty cold in there. Seems like a nice place for the community. Great for the kids to have plenty of different programs
