Bay View Association
Private
The Bay View Association, a National Historic Landmark summer community founded in 1875 near Petoskey, runs half-day youth recreation programs from mid-June through August at Swift Field. Children are grouped as Tot Lot (ages 3-4), Fawns (5-6) and Boys' and Girls' Club (7-14), meeting 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday for crafts, nature walks, field trips, hot dog roasts, movies, sailing and swimming, with half-hour swim lessons at the Bay View waterfront. Families may register for the season or for selected weeks, and association membership is not required.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Bay View Association directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleA really wonderful part of the world and very unique on its own. Neighborhood is kept up very well. Although there's not a heck of a lot of shopping, it would be a great neighborhood to live in.
My best friend had her wedding here and staff was extremely accommodating, patient, and went above and beyond to make her day perfect! Gorgeous view of lake Michigan!
Beautiful grounds, inspiring programs, enchanting cottages, friendly people, and million-dollar sunsets. You pretty much couldn't ask for more. Be sure to visit and attend a summer program if you're in the area!
Fantastic hotel, very conscientious staff and great dining facilities!
We stayed in this area while visiting from out of state. It is absolutely beautiful. They have walking trails and sidewalks that weave throughout the community. The water views are amazing. The locals are friendly and welcoming. Definitely, a highlight of my first trip to Michigan.
