My child recently joined and is very much interested in learning and willing to put forth the effort to succeed. This means the director, Ms. Shannon, along with her peers and interns, must be doing a very good job of teaching, coaching, and preparing the children for the performance.

I picked up my daughter from summer camp in Frisco on Tuesday and she burst into tears. A child had pinched her. Another had dumped water on her. She said they treated her "like a monster" and made sure she felt excluded and unsafe. She's 9 and has been through a lot these last couple of years. She wears cochlear implants and relies on lip reading and through the pandemic - the mask situation made it incredibly hard for her to communicate. Since then, she's suffered from severe anxiety and is definitely more sensitive than she used to be. I thought maybe she was overreacting and went inside. What I learned from her instructor was that the situation was even worse than my kiddo realized. The instructor said the class had ganged up on her and been incredibly mean. She told me she'd done her best to intervene (my daughter has since told me that the instructor "just sat there and watched") and was hoping to "catch" me after class to let me know. I tried calling Lindsey. She didn't answer and her inbox was full. I sent her a text. She called me back while I was at dinner with family and left a voicemail. I tried calling her and again - voicemail. I sent her a final text indicating that we would not be back, that I want a refund, and that I'd like assurance that this horrifying behavior would be discussed with the children's parents. I never heard another word. I want a refund. I want an apology. I want to know that the parents of an ENTIRE CLASS know that their children ganged up on the deaf girl and made her feel like a monster. She sat in the car and cried, "Mom is it because I'm deaf? Is it because I'm ugly?" I'm heartbroken, outraged, and left hanging. This is unacceptable.

It was fun but they didn’t really do that much of actually rehearsing we did like one run of the whole thing and that was it. The place was kind of small and falling apart. 95% of the time the other kids were on their phones or we were playing games which I thought was a huge waste of time.
