Powered by GoogleCoach Aimilia is lacking an emotional connection with the children. My daughter started at the studio in September of 2024. It all went well at first. Later there were some red flags but I thought maybe my kid was being too sensitive. However, after one of the classes, my daughter ran out of the gym in tears. Coach Aimilia completely ignored it, despite my daughter returning to the gym in tears to pick up her sweatshirt. I was hoping that the Coach would at least try to approach her to understand why she is in tears, but it was unnoticed. I emailed the studio shortly after outlining my concern. There was no response until I followed up weeks later. The response I got was rather copy+paste implying that all the Coach was focused was the preventing a future injury and that my daughter was not listening. For context - my daughter is 8 years old. She has been doing activities since she was 4 years old, including ballet, swimming, skiing, skating, theater, etc. We never got feedback from prior coaches nor schoolteachers that she is not listening, nor have any brought her to tears. This is just not true. My daughter enjoys all the activities. Sometime later my daughter said that Coach Aimilia never remembered her name and kept referring to her by something else despite my daughter correcting her. Also my daughter said the Coach Aimilia was mean. I believe it because I had never seen the Coach smile, which I think is instrumental in any education as a reassuring. I don’t recommend this school as is.
I was in 4th grade when I started gymnastics. Parents were military, dad was stationed at Pease AFB. Hal was my coach, Susie and Tammy were A team. I am now 58 years old. I think about this school all the time. It leaves a wonderful impression especially for those kids who traveled with military families.
My daughter loves it here. The perfect combination of serious gymnastics and recreational fun.
We came to NHA Gymnastics more than 4 years ago and it was the best move we could ever have made for our children. They have thrived and soared to new heights in terms of their growth, development and confidence. The coaching staff and family friendly environment are the best.
My kids love going to gymnastics! The instructors are great and patient and it's been a great experience for our family.
