NextStop Theatre Company runs summer theatre camps for kids and teens at its Herndon theater, taught by professional teaching artists and covering acting, singing, dancing and stage production. Theatre Fest Jr. is a one-week sampler devoting each day to a different discipline - acting, technical theatre, improv and comedy, and puppetry - while two-week production camps cast students in fully staged shows, with Honk! Kids in late June and Anastasia: Youth Edition in July. Summer Teen Intensives train older students in stage combat, improvisation, Shakespeare, technical theatre and acting in an ensemble setting. An early bird discount is offered on camp tuition.

I love going to see plays at NextStop. The actors, set designers, musicians, directors, are excellent. I also appreciate that they put on plays that are different and unique from other local theaters. My only criticism is that the seating can be tight.

Went to an interesting show. Didn't know what I felt about it until a bit later when I realized how much conversation it created, which I loved. Cute theater with great staff. Small concession stand and drinks. Just a great time

Cozy, intimate setting for variety of plays and musicals with professional casts. Sets are creative, and has comfortable seating, including accessible seating in front row of black box theater. Reserved seats possible with season tickets. Very friendly staff, easy check in, and drinks & snacks available for in-theater consumption. See for yourself!

I just discovered this theatre around May of 2023, and have come to two shows - one of which was opening night. When I tell you I was blown away! The set designs are amazing and I’m always astounded at how they make it work, because the theatre isn’t big at all, so I know they have to get creative with their designs. The shows I’ve seen so far have been incredible, and I’m looking forward to seeing many more! This is definitely a hidden gem that’s tucked away in the back of a weird shopping center, but I’m happy I found it and can’t wait to see more shows!

I've been here a few times and I've enjoyed the plays I've attended. The check-in experience is smooth. You buy your tickets online and give them your name when checking in. The plays have been entertaining. The cast is full of energy and there's usually a few opportunities for audience members to participate in the play. There's an intermission about 50 minutes into the play to go outside or use the restroom. The whole place is clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend anyone interested in experiencing theater to give this place a visit.
