There is much outdoor time allowed for kids to explore nature, examine their relationship to the land, and just be a kid! Our son loves the rain/shine/snow outdoor play. The staff follows the students lead regarding how much time is spent outside in more challenging weather. The first rain day our child attended at NFCA was his “very best school day ever!!!” They approach learning from a project approach. Students are not made to stay seated and do endless busy work. They move about in the classroom with more freedom than they would in a traditional classroom. Very small class sizes allow for lots of one on one instruction. Curriculum is be customized to each students needs/interests/strengths. We cannot say enough about how great NFCA! We love it! Only wish that we had taken the leap and enrolled him sooner. He is in 3rd grade, we plan to attend for the remainder of the elementary years.

My son loves going to school and talks about it all the time. He loves his teachers. They have so many creative ways of teaching that other schools done use such as outdoor learning. They teach Spanish and other classes. I’ve been associated with the teachers for 8 years and it is such a blessing for us

My children attended pre-k, kindergarten, first grade, and summer camp at NFCA, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The class sizes are small, outdoor play time is abundant, and the teachers have a passion for teaching in a way that is developmentally appropriate and sets a foundation for the kids to be eager lifelong learners. The special programs (nature explorers camp, Spanish classes, Parent’s Night Out…) are also top notch.
