YMCA overnight camp serving children and teens since 1926 on 600 private acres with a 90-acre private lake in Lake, Michigan. Campers are grouped into villages by age and gender for progressive activities such as swimming, boating, archery and crafts. Specialty options include a coed teen camp with a high ropes course, a Counselor-In-Training program, and Camp Starlight for children with dyslexia (with the Michigan Dyslexia Institute). ACA-accredited.

★Bella ReyesI am very disappointed with this years family camp sign in. Normally people are there waiting and making sure people know where to go etc. This year no one even bothered to start showing up until 630. Not very productive or professional. I miss Ricky as he always had things together and was there before people showed up to greet and direct. Now they say you have to be here by 7 or you are early. SMH. Miss Ricky!!!
★★★★★Lauren PyleMy middle-schooler had so much fun last summer, and is already excited to go back! She wears a bracelet she made there often, and kept in touch with her cabin besties. We got daily general updates from camp staff, and felt very comfortable that she was doing well and having fun. We made her leave the phone at home and sent her with disposable cameras - no regrets! I think the digital detox did wonders. Next time we’ll add a cheap-ish digital camera to her arsenal since she used up all her film pretty quick though lol!
★Julie MataDon’t send your child here. I went as a kid and it was fun but this is not the camp it was 20 plus years ago. They don’t send the emails and communication like they say they will, and both of my children were severely bullied. When they noticed my daughter crying they told her she was the problem and shouldn’t be crying. They didn’t do anything to investigate or resolve matters, just took one child’s claims over the other. Young teens are running this place with no supervision from adults, my child had a girl barely older than her as her cabin counselor. She had a bloody nose from another child pushing her and she didn't feel safe to tell anyone. I never got a single call or email about that same girl stealing something from my kid and they later found it on the other child. I 100% firmly believe my child was treated badly because she had financial aid. Never sending my kids here again.

The camp staff was friendly and outgoing and had everyone of all ages engaged and laughing. It felt like a home away from home. Definitely planning to book a summer adventure there! 10/10
