Music Theatre Philly runs musical theatre summer camps in its Center City studios, taught by professional actors, dancers, directors and choreographers, and open to beginners as well as experienced kids. Grades K-6 attend 9am to 3pm, choosing a one-week musical revue built on songs, dances and scenes from a favorite musical, or a two-week junior musical that takes campers from auditions through set and costume design to a Friday performance. Pre-K campers attend a half-day session, 9am to noon; the facility is nut-free and K-6 campers bring a packed lunch.

The communication from the staff is absolutely amazing. I received a welcome letter introducing every counselor who would be working with my daughter, and I even got to meet them all in person. They provided a detailed daily schedule that made me feel completely confident and comfortable. The location is great, I’ve never had an issue with parking during drop-off or pick-up, and the entire building is extremely clean. My daughter had such a fun first week she made new friends her age and was so excited to perform for our family at the end of the week. I really appreciate that grown-ups are invited to attend the performances! She’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Music Theatre Philly to any parent looking for a well-organized, fun, and nurturing camp experience.
