Powered by GoogleTook our Sanderson High School AFJROTC cadets here recently and we all had a blast!! They loved learning about earth and stars and the classroom experience was great! Only complaint was how expensive it was for us to take high school students here. We didnt get any deals.
I've always loved this planetarium for their events and shows. Recently I attended Yoga Under the Stars and it was magical! Great instructor and peaceful show above. Highly recommended!
Great Carolina Sky show! This was the first time I have been back to the Planetarium since I was in middle school and it was just as much fun as I remember. The only thing that I don't understand is why anyone would bring a screaming crying infant to a show like this is unimaginable? And they didn't even get up and take the kid out? The Planetarium even makes suggestions as to the age group that each show is best suited for but people don't pay attention. I hope that these parents realize that they ruin things for everyone when they do this.
The planetarium are great. Enjoyed the show. There weren't many exhibits but more were interactive so that was fun for the kids. The museum store was being renovated so it didn't have much in it. We also get magnets, stickers and t-shirts when we travel but the selection was thin and didn't say Morehead Planetarium just NASA. The kids had a great time so all in all it was a good time for all.
Such a great venue. We usually take kids with us but this time it was just adults and we had a great time. Always manage to learn a few things. Staff is helpful and informative. Definitely worth a visit. They had paid limited parking on site but I can see where they might fill up during busy periods
