Monterey Tennis Center runs weeklong junior summer tennis camps for ages 5-14 from the first week of June through mid-August, with beginners and more advanced youth grouped separately. Families choose a half-day week (about $87.50) or a full-day week (about $175). The center is a City of Monterey facility on Pearl Street.

They happen to have this Babolat tennis racket I’ve been thinking of buying and I was able to demo the racket in their facility. The courts were clean and in good condition. My wife is just learning to play so she was able to take a lesson as well. I ended up buying the tennis racket because it was a good deal. Genesis is great with children - we have been taking private and semi-private lessons with my 6-year old for about 6 months now. Genesis is super patient, making the lessons fun. She was able to keep my 6-year old hyperactive girl focused. Highly recommend. The prices are very reasonable if compared to other places and you get quality for what you pay for.
