The Monroe Township Department of Recreation, based at the Monroe Community Center at 120 Monmouth Road, runs the township's summer camp slate. Offerings include the general Summer Rec Camp and the MTSEPA camp — both of which carry their own trip calendars — plus specialty camps such as Track Camp, a Healthy Lifestyles camp and a girls lacrosse camp. Registration for Summer Rec Camp opens in mid-April and specialty camps from May 1, and campers must hold a valid Community Center membership for the duration of the program.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Monroe Community Center directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleIt is a nice place with a Gym and plenty of multi use spaces... it has plenty of parking spaces.
Well maintained center
Suprised how much you get for the membership . The gym is surprisingly well maintained and clean , all machines work great . There is an older crowd here but they are all very pleasant . The employees here are super cool and friendly .
They hold an annual Easter egg hunt for kids ages 4 through 9. It is free and welcome to all. It is a lot of fun for them and is well organized. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Great rec center! Modern facilities, classes and workout room. Not many towns in the area have this. Only reason giving 4 stars is gyms are booked most of the time but can find some open space if you call ahead.
