Swax Lax Lacrosse runs beginner-focused summer day camps for boys and girls entering grades K-4, with 2026 sessions at the Florham Park Sports Dome, Far Brook School and The Pingry School in Short Hills, Holy Cross School in Rumson and Marucci Field in Spring Lake. Camp days run 9am-3pm at most sites (the Spring Lake session runs 9am-noon), and cover the essential lacrosse skills — catching, throwing, cradling, shooting, dodging, defensive footwork and positioning — through rotating drills and games, with arts and crafts and team challenges filling out the day. Campers are grouped by age and gender, fees include a camp t-shirt but not lunch, and the operator offers scholarships plus sibling and multi-session discounts.

We have seen our oldest daughter fall in love with this sport and continue through at higher levels. So no brainer to send our younger daughter - who equally loved her experience. Their focus on fundamentals established a strong base from which my oldest was able to build up on and continue playing at higher levels.
