I have been a dancer at Momentum Dance Project for just under 3 years and my time here has been nothing short of outstanding. This studio is often recognized and appreciated by competition judges/staff and other studios for our unique movement style and the passion and dedication that me and all of my teammates have for the art. Not only is MDP extremely successful when we compete, notably receiving choreography awards and overall highest scoring routines, we also enjoy each other’s company on a whole new level and the bond between me and my teammates is unlike anything i’ve ever seen before. Additionally, all of our teaching artists are extremely kind and have dedicated long periods of their lives to dance and do their best to ensure that class and rehearsal is productive but enjoyable. The people that I have met through this studio are some of the most accepting and respectful people I have ever encountered and they have grown to feel like a second family to me.

When my family moved to Saint paul, MN from Jackson, Mississippi four years ago we knew that we had to find a small dance studio that would fit our daughters needs. We found that at Momentum Dance Project after just one visit. Our daughter was welcomed to sit in on a class and the Director took time away to have a conversation with us rather than sending us an email with options. It was then that I knew we found the right place. Four years later, our daughter has blossomed, she has a dance family, she is challenged everyday and she LOVES being surrounded by her fellow teammates. Momentum is diverse and they are invested in each and every one of their students. If you are looking to do competitive dance or just rec classes; I would recommend MDP to anyone looking for a dance studio in the Twin Cities!

Momentum Dance Project is a dance studio where the kids work hard and play hard together. It feels like a cohesive family where everyone strives to do their best and are so supportive of each other at all times, especially if kids feel like they let their teammates down. The growth and the artistry these kids have shown in a few short years has completely exceeded my expectations! The teachers are professional artistic choreographers who have a vision for telling stories through music. The dancers learn how to bring that story to life! Momentum is highly recommended for any dancer looking to expand his/her horizons and taking dance and individual talent to the next level!!

My 9 year old daughter started at Momentum Dance Project two years ago. Initially we joined the studio because it was one of the only places we could find that offered modern technique for younger dancers. Quickly we realized just how special a dance home we had found. My daughter has thrived learning the different styles and the focus on technique has been wonderful for her development! She has had the opportunity to work with a variety of inspiring choreographers and leaves each class with a renewed love of dance! I am personally grateful to have found a dance studio that embraces diversity and tackles relevant topics in their competition pieces. I highly recommend MDP to anyone looking for a dance studio in the Twin Cities.
