Just For Kix is a national dance-studio franchise, and this Columbia Heights location runs summer dance camps for kids in grades K through 9, plus preschool camps for ages 3 to 5. Campers learn several routines (typically kick, hip-hop, and jazz) plus a technique and skills class. The Director and coaches do put in the time to keep their coaching and technique up to date. Very passionate about working with the dancers and helping guide them to do their best. There are a few competitions throughout the year and they are well organized and they focus on dancing your best not just winning. The program is a great value. My daughter enjoys going and her dream is to be a JFK director when she gets older. We attended the Forida Outback Bowl tour as a family last year. It was well organized and very busy. It was a good value and we all enjoyed ourselves. My daughter also went to a dance camp this summer and the instructors there were very skilled and a lot of fun. My daughter wants to go again next year even though there were blisters and sore legs. My daughter has grown as a dancer and improved her confidence the last for years at Fridley JFK. We love being part of this dance family.
