Most amazing studio I've been privileged to spend time in after 40 long years of being the parent of a competitive dancer...from Wisconsin, New Jersey, Canada, Georgia, all over the Caribbean and now California. Competitive dance parents spend 5-6 hours a day in their dancer's studio. They are probably the MOST critical judges of dance studios because it occupies such a big part of their "Mommy lives". Weekends are devoted to very long rehearsals in the studio, if not at a convention or competition. Given all of that, l can't help but say this studio ranks way higher than any other I've spent time in (or time WITH)!!! The family feeling of bonding between students, teachers and students as well as parents bonding with one another is so important.Their is no favoritism and that's SO important! The dancers have to work very hard to earn their spot in a company or even a dance. They are rewarded for their hard work! That "MAKES" a studio!!!!

This is my daughter's fourth season dancing at Momentum, and her second year as a competition dancer. When we first started, we enrolled her in one recreational class, telling her each season we could "move up" in her commitment to dance if she wanted to. Without fail, she has wanted to do more and more dance each year, which is not just a testament to her love of dancing, but to Betsy Woyach (and her staff's) passion, love and dedication to running this studio. You can not walk into a room with Betsy and not immediately be captivated by her positivity, outgoing personality, professionalism and genuine love for her dancers and families. There is nowhere else in Santa Barbara we'd ever consider enrolling our daughter for dance, and nowhere else our dancer would rather be.

Choosing Momentum Dance Company for my daughters was the best thing we did when we moved into the area. Betsy, the director, has made sure the studio is like a second home to all the children here. What I especially love is that the classes are intimate sized and not crowded and overwhelming. I also love that there is no favouritism and every single dancer gets their time to shine whether they are just beginners or not. Thank you MDC!
