Waste of money. They allow coaches to pick their teams and then they have teams with coaches that dont even want a team. They take everyone's money, (and looking at the field, they make ALOT of money)....then.....they ask for volunteers that are forced because nobody else wants to volunteer, which they shouldn't have too. We pay for coaches to coach our kids, not parents who barely have time to make the practice and games. My son is 3 years in and not one coach has even taught the fundamentals. 10 out of 10 do Not recommend!!!

Unacceptable Behavior from a Supposed Role Model Team. I’m deeply disappointed by the toxic culture this team is fostering. Soccer is supposed to build teamwork, respect, and character — not normalize bullying and intimidation. Unfortunately, this team seems more focused on tearing others down than lifting anyone up. Whether it’s on the field or off, there’s no place for bullying in sports, especially from a team that should be setting an example for young athletes. If this behavior continues, I strongly recommend that leagues and sponsors take a hard look at what values they’re supporting. Until there's a real commitment to sportsmanship and accountability, I can't in good conscience support or recommend this team.

My children have loved and enjoyed doing soccer through MYSA in past years, but sadly this year has felt much more disorganized and chaotic. The poor/delayed communication has been very disappointing. Misunderstandings have caused problems with coaching and children are not being assigned based on their neighborhood school as was done in past years. Some teams did not receive proper jerseys this year and only received blank MYSA t-shirts. The parking situation at Mary Grogan Park is being handled abysmally and has become untenable. I have begun to wonder whether MYSA may have over-enrolled too many families, contributing to the ridiculous parking situation. There is simply not enough space for all families, especially not that the park has removed the previous overflow parking area to put in an unnecessarily large park area, and as such, many people are parking illegally along the road, in fire zones, and in the privately owned orchards. There are not nearly enough handicap spaces, which is detrimental to those of us who experience increased chronic pain with extensive walking. Lastly, MYSA is NOT inclusive AT ALL. The parking situation alone has me wanting to discontinue enrolling my children. We will find somewhere else to play soccer that is inclusive, perhaps with co-ed options, a more accessible complex, proper organization, and an inclusive approach to team placements.

Both of my children have been playing in this soccer league for the past four years, and until recently, we had nothing but positive experiences. We stayed loyal because the league had a strong community feel, fair opportunities for all kids, and a well-organized structure. Unfortunately, this year has been a complete disappointment, and it's heartbreaking to see how much has changed. The tryouts this season were extremely unorganized—there was no clear communication beforehand, the process felt chaotic, and it seemed like decisions were made without transparency or consistency. It was frustrating and confusing for both parents and players, especially those who have grown with this league for years. What’s even more upsetting is the growing inequality we’re seeing. It no longer feels like kids are being evaluated on skill, effort, or dedication. There appears to be favoritism, and it’s disheartening to watch hard-working, talented kids being overlooked simply because they aren’t part of the “in crowd.” This league used to be about development and giving all kids a fair shot. Now, it feels like politics and connections are more important than the players' actual abilities and commitment. I never thought I’d be writing a review like this, especially after four years of positive experiences. But I hope the league takes feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to restore the fairness, organization, and inclusivity that originally made it a great place for kids to grow and play.

This league is unprofessional and disorganized. Be cautious when signing your kids up for a season. Even when your kids team doesn’t have a coach for the first game they will not honor a refund. They will send you an email saying they may cancel due to no coaches. When the season starts they will not refund despite not having a coach. They act in bad faith according to the language of their contract. They act as if everything runs well. Despite having 110 teams this season they are unavailable for phone calls and are slow to respond to emails. The league voicemail is full and will not accept new messages. If you mention that this is why people don’t want to get involved in coaching, they put their head in the sand. Play at your own risk. No refunds despite disastrous management.
