The Salvation Army had a scout and girl guard jamboree that I attended, in August 1977. Nice rolling hills , some ravines, that flooded during our time there. They had badges that we could pass, and it was the first time I shot a gun. We slept in tents, and the groups that were in the ravines woke up to flooding over the wooden platforms they slept on. We learned how to start a fire and had a festival that represented our troop area ( mine was Eastern Michigan brigrade) . Our troop made homemade pizza in a Dutch oven over a campfire. The whole area was fascinating.

Very nicely designed High Ropes Course, Climbing Tower and Zip Line's! Camp Staff are Wonderful and awesome to work with, can't wait to go back!!

I went there as a scout and I thought the staff were very unprofessional. The staff did not know what there were doing for their own classes and were very untrained. Then proceeded to ruin skits by running up on stage and yelling about trees at the last camp fire. This camp was the worst experience I’ve had with scouting. Do better.

Love Mitigwa!! Spend my summers there and come back as often as I can on the off season. "Camp is calling and I must go."

Totally recommend this adventure with your child. It was an experience I'll never forget. The camp director was amazing at handling anything thrown his way and all the staff was upbeat and fun to interact with. Thank you for a great bonding moment with my son.
