If your young athlete would like to learn from the best in the Huntsville area, you should consider Merino’s! Nuno and his staff coach all levels through Elite athletes. Nuno is on the USA Gymnastics coaching staff and a former Olympian.
Our child has been taking trampoline gymnastics classes at Merino for a year. She’s constantly learning new skills, meeting new friends, and having a great time competing on developmental team. We have been happy with our decision to participate in this experience.
MTGA is an amazing gym for our daughters to train. They have both grown as athletes while being part of the T&T team. The coaches are the best. They truly care about the children.
My 3 year old took a class to try out. During class instead of physically showing my daughter what was expected, the coach would give verbal instructions. If not done correctly she would tell her that she was not following instructions instead of taking the time out to SHOW her what was expected. I only saw her demonstrate once, in which my daughter did exactly like she was suppose to after being demonstrated. My daughter just turned 3 not even a month ago and the expectations for her were set too high by the coach. Class should have been more kid/toddler friendly. She is not new to gymnastics, but was new to this gym which operates a lot differently then previous gym she attended. As much as I liked the structure of the class, I did not like the interaction between the coach and my daughter. So for this reason, I will not be bringing her back.
