The Memphis Jewish Community Center runs a day camp for children from age 3 through entering 10th grade, divided into preschool (ECC) camps, traditional camps grouped by entering grade, sports and specialty camps, and a counselor-in-training track for 9th and 10th graders. Camp runs 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in nine one-week sessions from June 1 to July 31, with paid AM care from 7:30 a.m. and PM care to 6:00 p.m.; every camper from age 4 through 6th grade takes part in an instructional swim program. The MJCC is a registered 501(c)(3) and offers financial assistance.

★Mackenzie KarpinskiWe came for a youth basketball game. Woman at the desk on 1/13 at 5:15pm was exceptionally rude and not at all welcoming. Not a good look when the first face you meet in a new place is rude. I wouldn’t consider membership or recommend based on her customer service.
★Angie CodySo, I wanted to join to have a place to lap swim outside. I’m a former swimmer and the JCC is very close to my home. However, if you want to join during the summer (May—July), they require a full year cost upfront/non refundable! Most people can’t afford that! Ridiculous!

It is very cool and I would recommend signing up and going there. I mostly just swim there with my family because the pools are great. The locker rooms are very nice and clean and fancy. The showers have soap and hot water. The 18+ locker rooms have a hot tub and a sauna room. It is very good. I love it.
★★★★★Brandon GoodLOVE this place! As a mother of 3 and my husband working nearly all day everyday I am practically a single mom.... This place has given me a way to exercise and give the kids a great day care. they always look forward to day care. Day care staff is excellent. They have told me every small booboio my 1 year old might have such as she tripped once and bit her lip. And one other occasion where she tripped and stubbed her toe. I would have never known either of these without them telling me. I appreciate their honesty! Also they are very child friendly and I am very fond of the security guard. I usually stay tuill pretty late and just shower ad dress kids for bed after swimming. The security guard is always nice enough to stand outside with my kids and stuff so I can grab the car and pick them up :) Then he is ever so nice to put all my bags into our car. The staff goes above nd beyond in my opinion!
