The Mecklenburg County YMCA in Clarksville runs sport-specific summer camps rather than a general day camp. Its youth basketball, cheerleading and volleyball programs each hold a camp during the summer, all open to ages 5-14 and all skill levels, with practices and games held at Bluestone High School in Skipwith. The Y also offers year-round youth gymnastics at a separate facility in downtown Clarksville, a six-week youth soccer league for ages 2-5, pickleball, free public ping pong and adult fitness classes. Camp dates and daily hours are not published on the site.

I go to the Y in chase city the best thing about this YMCA is the yoga and fusion classes. My complaint is when machines break down it takes forever to get them fixed We already don’t have half the machines Clarksville does. We have two cycles and both are broke so I decided to get on the stair stepper and that’s broke too. The Chase city Y has gone down I been coming here for years and it has definitely seen better days and better equipment and better management

I come to this Y often since it’s bigger than the one in Chase City and I appreciate that it has a Women’s room. I do hate the fact that there’s not any locker rooms open after hours. There’s only 1 bathroom open. Other than that they have almost every machine to get the job done.

Clarksville YMCA is a great place for all ages. Fitness classes for all levels. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. Great YMCA!

The gym equipment is sufficient, but I mainly love my yoga class! Thanks Kathryn for being such a great instructor. The people here are wonderful and the Y does so many wonderful things for the community.

Very clean YMCA. Has many activities for children to do while parents can work out. Also they offer several classes throughout the week to all different age groups. Some of the classes are a bit more challenging than others. They offer sports for kids in the communities. There is a monthly fee for singles, and families who utilize the facilities, but a one time fee for sporting events and discount for families that are members. Very clean quiet equipment. Has several cardiovascular work out stations as well as free weights and other tools to work your muscles. The people that work here are very nice and helpful as well.
