Masters Academy
Private
Masters Academy in Watkinsville is a private preschool offering Georgia's Pre-K and after-school care that also runs a summer camp for children roughly ages 4 to 12. Camp weeks are themed and combine educational activities, creative arts, sports and outdoor adventures, including a recurring theme in which campers explore a different park each week through hands-on nature learning, water play and fishing activities. The camp runs from the day after the last day of school through the day before the first day of school on the Oconee County Schools calendar, minus holiday closures. Daily hours are not stated.

Powered by GoogleMasters Academy has been amazing with my kiddo. Before Pre-k, she hadn’t ever been to a daycare or anything & just in the time she’s been at masters she has opened up tremendously & has learned so many new things. The staff are all so wonderful & really work hand in hand with families. They also were so fast to jump in and help in any way possible when my families home caught fire. The love we were shown from Masters is unmatched. I highly recommend anyone to send their kiddos here. They’re in wonderful hands & are so loved.
My daughter went here for a few months. In my opinion every time we would pick up it always seems like chaos! In those few months my daughter hated drop offs and would always have a horrible day. We notice her behavior changing for the worse and doing things at home that we have never seen before at her previous daycare. We would constantly get calls daily because they did not know how to deal with her making it seem like she was a horrible kid. We pulled her out and finally got her in Oconee preschool academy and it has been great ever since. 3 months in and we have had zero incidents and she's always happy at drop off and pick up and it's so excited to tell us about our day
My son has been attending the summer camp this year and has felt so at peace with everyone in the building. He has had a lot of fun learning the countries and has learned how to say at least “hello” in French, Spanish, and Chinese and can tell me about the flags and foods in each one. They’ve been very consistent with the water days which is his favorite. He loves the teachers so much that he enters and leaves almost every day giving them all hugs. I want to mention one of his teachers Ms.Sarah, giving he said “she’s the best teacher ever in the whole world” and Ms.Madison “she’s the best ever ever” LOL (he has been to two previous daycares beforehand). He remembers every person in the building by their kindness and the love they show him every day even the lady in the office Ms.Bailey. He can’t wait to start Pre-K in the fall. And special mention to the remodeling of the buildings, Ms.Erica has done a great job with the place.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Down's/Masters Academy this summer! Our child has loved her time at camp! Erica, and staff, have been so thoughtful and intentional with the programming. From learning about different countries, trying new foods AND getting to go on field-trips, she's had a blast! Ms. Becca and Ms. Audrey were phenomenal teachers. My daughter talks about them both all the time and is going to miss them so much when she goes to Kindergarten!! We are so grateful for this experience and plan to be back next year!
My daughter attended Down’s for preschool and absolutely loved Ms. Ricki, Ms. Becca, and Ms. Audrey. We were thrilled when the Masters acquired the center and opened it for summer camps. My daughter has looked forward to going each day and spending time with two of her favorite people - Ms. Becca and Ms. Audrey. She even had the option to skip two days of camp this week, but opted to go instead. I appreciate everyone there, but especially Becca and Audrey. They greet our girl with a smile and a huge hug - making her feel so safe and loved! In my daughter’s opinion, the only thing that would make camp better would be having Ms. Ricki there too. ;)
