The Mark Sorensen Youth Sailing Program is a Key Largo nonprofit summer sailing camp for ages 6 to 18, based at the Upper Keys Sailing Club with beach access to Buttonwood Sound. Campers sail high-performance boats, traditional sloops, and Hobie catamarans, and take trips to Nest Key in Everglades National Park to kayak and paddleboard. Weekly and two-week sessions are offered, and scholarships are available.

The instructor was very knowledgeable about sailing and the Hobie Wave that we took out. The bay is perfect for sailing small craft. This is an awesome sailing program, I highly recommend for anyone that wants to have fun and learn sailing!

I was looking for a summer camp for my 5 and 7 year old and I love that this introduces the basic sailing concepts to kids as young as 5. They loved it and couldn’t wait to get up and go everyday. They are outside, meeting other kids, playing in the water and learning to sail. The youth that help coach are all really excellent too.
