Powered by GoogleThe quality of the experience at Marine Lab is topnotch. The instructors know marine biology and know how to teach it in this setting. The choice of classes and labs means an experience tailored to the student group in attendance. The field experiences are instructional and awe-inspiring and help students understand the essential roles of each part of the ecosystem - seagrass, mangroves, and reefs. Chaperoning a Marine Lab trip is one of the easiest and most rewarding chaperoning experiences available. Students are kept busy from the moment they arrive until late evening with just enough down time form them to recharge and make memories with friends. Chaperones can participate in the labs and activities and in all of the snorkeling experiences. Facilities are clean and comfortable and all of instructors, boat captains, and staff are friendly and welcoming. We've brought students three times so far and there will be many trips in the future.
Thank you Marine Lab Camp for inspiring Poinciana School's 5th Graders to become protectors of our Florida Keys seagrass beds, mangroves, and coral reef ecosystems into the future. Your staff created so many memorable experiences through classroom, lab, and snorkeling experiences. The cafeteria staff provided delicious meals and great guidance. The Haunted Lagoon event was awesome. So many fun things for the kids to do and the lagoon snorkel was a lot of fun. Highly recommend this.
We spent almost a week at Marine Lab with our 8th-12th graders. The adventures were epic - wonder and awe overtook us all. The staff is exceptionally passionate and informed, and sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge bolstered our experience. Whether you are simply looking to get proximate with nature or deepen your learning of the marine ecosystems, this is the place.
