Used to love the place when I would be in the area visiting family, but no long offer day passes. For a organization that espouses health, fitness, and community not offering people visiting the community from out of town any opportunity to work on their health and fitness seems pretty poor. As an active duty service member it seems particularly poor for younger service members whose family lives in the area who would come back here as home, only to be unable to have a place to keep in shape…as the service demands. Very poor policy, the local director should reevaluate.

I'm in town for 2 days; they no longer do day or week passes. One would have to purchase a month's membership for over $65 to work out. That's more than 3 months at Planet Fitness, more than 24 Hour Fitness, Fitness 19, etc. I'm sorry to see that this town's access to a health facility maybe beyond many people's financial reach. Considering this is the YMCA, that's a sad state of affairs.

Attended this gym for a year or so before COVID. Had some trouble from the manager about my service dog. Manager claimed some patrons had allergies and fear of dogs. According to ADA it's not cause for discrimination nor expulsion. Had to get authorities involved. Had no problems after that. My service dog is more trained than most and many loved seeing him. Aging equipment was in process of being replaced when COVID hit. All gyms were closed. Was told a couple months ago that was reopened with limits, but I was unable to attend as it's hard to workout wearing a mask.

I go to this YMCA every single morning. The staff it's friendly helpful and courteous. Things Are well-managed and the building is kept as clean as possible. From what I understand the equipment will be revamped this summer of 2019. I'm looking forward to it as I spend time here daily. Whether you're looking to get back in shape or some place to go during the cold winter months you couldn't ask for more. A membership here covers all classes and events as well as use of the local swimming pool. For the price you pay it's a great value.
