Lehrfeld Farm is a small hobby farm in San Martin (south Santa Clara County) that runs an 'Art on the Farm' summer camp for children of all abilities ages 6 and up, meeting Monday-Friday 9:00am-12:00pm. We found it to be a very relaxing and inviting place to create some art, have fun and relax. First, we were welcomed so genuinely by our two instructors and were shown many items made by others to get ideas on what we would like to make. Once we decided, the instructors proceeded with giving us our tools and showed us hand techniques to use. Our instructors were so friendly and very helpful, and they made the experience so much fun. We had an opportunity to meet the owner, Carlie. After speaking with her for just a short time, I could see her passion for art and teaching shining through. She truly has created something quite special. I look forward to going back again soon to make more pottery and visit some of the darling farm animals, too. If you have never been to Lehrfeld Farms, I encourage you go and get in touch with your inner artist!
