Laurel Arts is a Somerset nonprofit arts organization whose Education and Dance Center at 601 Georgian Place runs summer camps alongside nine-month dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and performance for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Camps are registered with a 50% nonrefundable deposit, with the balance due two weeks before the camp starts. Camp themes, ages and daily hours are published seasonally.

★Matthew PeachMy 4 year old was supposed to be in rhythms of Christmas today. The teacher told my fiancé that the parents couldn’t be back with the girls and they’d make sure the costumes were fixed and the kids were where they were meant to be. Turns out that was a lie - my kid missed out on her dance entirely. Maybe she should have been more responsible and all that, what with being 4 years old. She has been crying all night and we are very upset that she was meant to be watched, but the teacher ignored her entirely. At least she “only” missed her dance and didn’t wander outside or wander off with a stranger…
