I was a member at LaTuchie for about three months. While I had a very positive experience with my instructor, a series of uncomfortable and unprofessional interactions with club management ultimately led me to leave. Shortly after joining, the club manager shared my personal contact information with others without my consent, allegedly in an effort to “get me involved.” When I later addressed this with her, she did not apologize and instead laughed it off. Although this was frustrating, I initially chose to move past it. Unfortunately, additional issues followed. On one occasion, while checking in at the front desk, I was misidentified as another Black member whom I look nothing like. Given the clear differences in age, height, and appearance, this assumption appeared to be rooted in racial bias rather than an innocent mistake. The most troubling incident occurred when a fellow member verbally berated me in front of the club manager. The manager did not intervene. Instead, she made a personal and inappropriate comment toward me. This interaction crossed a professional boundary and left me feeling disrespected. I later documented these concerns in an email to both the club manager and the owner. Although the manager did apologize, she attempted to minimize her conduct by characterizing her comment as “light-hearted.” The owner did take time to listen to my concerns during a follow-up call, but ultimately offered no resolution beyond a refund. While the quality of instruction was good, my experience with club management fell well below professional standards. I cannot recommend this club to people of color who are seeking a respectful, inclusive, and professionally managed environment in which to play tennis.

Sorry, I admit I am biased among Boyd, George, and Mayfield outside of Maple Heights. True to sponsor, the pro and admin is excellent here ! Shouts to Scottsdale, Sony, and Islands at McCormuck!

Best tennis club in Northeast Ohio by a long shot. Best membership and guest value out of all the pickleball and tennis clubs around. The place is beautiful, clean & very inviting to play. The clay courts are an extra bonus in the summer! The staff is tremendous especially the manager Selena, she is a rockstar. Already signed up my kids and my neighbors for their youth program. Thanks LTC!

The good things about this tennis club: A good variety of year-round tennis programs for people of all ages, and that the tennis coaches and instructors are teaching very well and are always friendly, skillful and ready to teach players in an engaging way, and the owner always willing to listen to constructive feedback regarding the overall management of this tennis club. As there are just as many good things about this tennis club, there are also many things that this place needs to improve on. One area of improvement that the owners of this tennis club could work on would be the atmosphere here. While it doesn’t look like to me that there is anything wrong with the setting of the courts, they need to make changes with the setting of the first-floor lobby, the second-floor court viewing area, and parts of the changing rooms. The setting of the first-floor lobby and the second floor viewing area seems to be outdated, as the carpets seem to be old and wearing out, the paint is peeling off the walls, and the whole setting in those areas are looking dusty. The shower area of the men’s changing room looks like it needs to be remodeled, as I could see the shower stalls are old, have stains on them and are wearing out, the ceiling tiles are dirty and cracking up as I could see there were bits of old ceiling tiles rained onto the floor, and the brick walls are wearing out with mold on them, as well. Another area of improvement that the owners of this tennis club could work on is about the front doors in the entryway. It is quite difficult to go in and out through the two narrowly spaced front doors at the front of the building, especially when you bring your own ball machine, making it difficult to carry all your stuff in while holding the two narrowly spaced front doors long enough to do so. It would be much easier to get in if they ever replace the two narrowly spaced front doors with a new automatic sliding door that could help people and their stuff get inside more easily, whereas the two narrowly spaced front doors create more trouble for people and their stuff to get in.

I took beginner tennis lessons here a few years ago. All the instructors are great, especially Brian Peters. His over the top exuberance was awesome and made the experience great. Since then I've switched to pickleball and it's great to have somewhere indoors to play during the winter. The lockers/restrooms are clean and well maintained. Everyone working there is always friendly and easy to work with. Would recommend.
