Lancaster Soccer Complex

It's a nicely arranged set of fields. Don't have far to walk no matter what field they play in, granted you arrive in time to get a spot near your players game. Still not bad if you have to park one or two fields down. I played soccer my whole childhood and played a little as an adult, as well. I've been to a LOT of parks. This is a great one because you always know where you'll end up. All the games are played at this location, at one of the many fields here. As far as I've seen, the fields are tended to with great care and is usually always mostly free of trash and grass clippings. No huge holes (on the fields) for the kids to feel the need to avoid so they're not twisting their ankles the whole game (been to a lot of fields that were once farm fields 10/10 don't recommend those for your kids' ankles' sake). There are quite a few teams in each division, as well. It's nice to have more teams to play against like that. We all can see each others stands and scores. It's very transparent. All those great things being said.... can y'all maybe get referees that are consistent? Not only do they all call different penalties - each ref changes their calls from week to week. Please make sure the refs know the rules of what is considered a goal and what is not for each division. Many times goals were awarded to teams when the ball was stopped by the goalie before the entire ball crossed through the plane. Also, division 3 has some rules that are meant to be transitioning rules. I believe some of the younger refs (who might be currently or recently played on older teams of their own) aren't remembering the offsides rule for this division. They tend to do a good job at ignoring loud parents, however so kudos to them for taking the highroad. Last, and I'm sorry that it's a complaint but the stinkin' parking area has got to be taken care of better!!! I mean, how is it that you have that many teams with that many kids paying $50 apiece plus sponsors for each team that for Lancaster pay hundreds of dollars in the outlying leagues pay almost as much. It's really questionable as to why there can't be gravel dropped like midseason or something because those holes and dips are going to cause an unavoidable accident and somebody's gonna get hurt somewhere at some point. Maybe you could do something along the lines of making actual poles that create real parking spaces maybe? Because the common sense doesn't seem to be real rampant in the area as to closing the gaps between cars would create more spaces and less travel on the areas that will degrade faster. 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I'm sure there are much smarter people than me that have tried to figure this out previously.... exiting takes a couple of minutes but what large sports facility with many visitors and spectators doesn't? At least there is a traffic light at one of the exits so you end up getting out in decent enough time after the game. All in all, gave 4/5 ⭐️ because it's not perfect, or the best, but a great place to have your kids in a league to play soccer. ⚽️

Grass is generally very well kept and cut even on days that it rains before it is not horrible out here at all it is a pretty level field as far as setting up for chairs etcetera.. Please make sure you bring something to pick up their crap so our kids can stop stepping in it... Have just a tad bit of common courtesy.... THANKS

Fields are nice but hard to find field numbers. Could use a better parking set up, even if they painted lines in the grass leaving enough room to drive through.

Fields overall are not in good condition, particularly the 11 v 11 fields. Grass should be better maintained by parks and rec, along with the driving paths. Poor parking and restrooms are insufficient. Also, not a great situation with the people that congregate through and around that area. LSSA is getting their own fields built now, and it will be wonderful.

I visited this location for my son's soccer game for the traveling team that he is on. There is ample parking, it is very easy to find, my only complaint would be the lack of restrooms. There is only two for the whole complex. It is however very clean and well kept at this location.
