The Lancaster Science Factory, a nonprofit hands-on science center, runs half-day summer STEM camps for children in grades K-8. Campers choose a morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (1-4pm) weekly session built around hands-on experiments and engineering activities; a separate weekly program introduces STEM to early learners ages 4-6. Camps are held at the center in Lancaster and start around $175 per week.

We travel so we go to a lot of children’s museums and this seems to have a bunch of stuff but honestly there was only a few areas my kids wanted to hangout in so it didn’t seem like a lot to do. I guess it depends on your kids interest and age but we only spent like 1.5 hours here and thought we would be here longer. But aside from that I would probably come back literally just for the paper planes shooter only because we have an annual membership. It was pretty fun but I would except to be here allday.
★★★★★Katy OianLocated in a large warehouse, single floor, with over 75 interactive exhibits. Kind of like a science themed indoor playground. My 4 & 5yo kids loved it and didn't want to leave after 3 hours (although I would say at least 30min was spent on climbing just the Sky Leaf Tower thing). The other highlights include the jumping/dancing energy floor, the pull-your-own-bubble wall, the airplane toss station, and the water lab. We also spent quite a bit of time pushing balls towards each other in the vacuum suction pipes. Parking lot was right across the street. And we were able to walk right on in after purchasing timed tickets in advance (to be used within 1 hour of entry). No food/drinks but there is a water station & private lactation pod. I also really appreciated them having coat racks so that guests could explore uninhibited. Highly reccomended for a great morning of learning & exploring.

Spent 2 hours, but could have spent more time, but had a lunch reservation to get to. All activities kids can come & go as they please. There was a science demonstration going on, but the kids were not interested. Restrooms easy to find. Pre-ordered tickets due to being 7 of us. Reasonable price. Due to the cold January weather, the outdoor area was closed. Can easily have spent more time. Not enough coat rack space. Carried our coats. Bring a smaller purse if you are going to participate with the kids. Some climbing activities. Enjoy your visit!
