I became a member about 8 months ago and was fortunate to meet the personal trainer Rainey. From my first encounter with him he showed professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm, you could tell he loves what he does. I have continued my fitness journey and I owe him a lot of praise, he is a big reason I continue to show up he always has a positive energy and encourages me to push myself to reach my fitness goals. Oh and I absolutely adore Trish and the front desk, she’s the best.

The gym is small and relatively clean. The pool has terrible hours. We live in Florida. It’s 90° at 10 am. I attended the Saturday morning class. Awful. The lady was kind of condescending and I felt like I was being talked down to because I was struggling with certain movements. Not sure who is running this place but you need to do better. I’m very disappointed. I miss the Y

I think the Lake Wales recreation Center is very clean And very well run. They offer many different types of training and exercise classes. yoga, refit and my favorite of course Zumba. They have really nice exercise equipment and it's big enough that everybody can spread out . The staff are very nice and very helpful !They consider safety first and they've upgraded it to keep it nice and safe. They have several Zumba classes, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but they should have Zumba classes 5 days a week at least so one could actually get dance exercise 5 days a week and I primarily do Zumba. Therefore my only suggestion is that they need more Zumba classes. OR spread them out to offer At least one every day. That would be nice!

Such a great place! The gym is small and quiet, perfect for anyone who wants to get away from noisy, crowded spaces. All of the classes are great. The HIT is the best one. The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful! Highly recommend joining the rec center for that class alone!!

This facility is a former YMCA. I have been a member for more than a year now. The facility is clean and well maintained. The facility includes an exercise room, a fitness center and a large swimming pool with lap lanes and diving area. All of the fitness center equipment is relatively new and works well. They have a variety of classes and programs available. I haven't taken any yet but I'm sure I will soon. Staff is very friendly. There are lots of activities for families such as game nights, movie nights and parents night out. They have a forthcoming summer camp for kids. I am a single person so I don't need this but It is a great resource for the families in our community.
