Kokoro in Lake Elmo is a complete ripoff from beginning to the end. There is so little parking you are forced to park across the street in the lot of a senior facility. You then pay to carry in your own folding chair where space is very limited and there is no organized way to set chairs up making the space even smaller. People are sitting on the carts for the equipment taking up far more of the minimal space than they should. The entire place is the most spectator unfriendly facility I have ever seen.

Invested in this club to receive a first time coach who treated the girls unfairly. Then, followed the communication process to get a parent meeting, which resulted in the director saying he wouldn’t meet with us and for my daughter to deal with it and “do better”. Our daughter loved volleyball up until this club team. Highly disappointed. She ended up quitting, along with another teammate before the coach then left. Zero accountability. In addition, they put way too many girls on the team which limited their play time. I’m sure it helped pay for their new facility though.

My daughter plays at another club. Kokoro puts on organized tournaments. As a spectator at their facility, it is clean and about one year old. There are no scoreboards, no chairs, no place to sit in between games, no vending or snacks. Entrance is charged and it is cash only.

Although this is a great facility for the volleyball players, it seriously lacks spectator comfort - there is no seating (bring your own chairs), it’s incredibly drafty (bring a jacket) and it isn’t handicap accessible. If you’re going here to watch volleyball, arrive prepared. I definitely will next time.
