Kirkwood Sportsplex

This sports complex has a mix of new turf fields and outgoing grass fields, which are set to be replaced in 2026 and 2027. The worst part about the location is the parking lot, which is a PITA to exit. Other than that, it's a great location for youth sports' tournaments.

There are about 8 soccer fields in the complex. On this Saturday all the fields were packed with soccer games going on. Their is a field that is being bulldozed up. It will be interesting what is the plans for it. All these people and only have 2 port a John's on site. For the past 2 years, the restrooms inside their building has been looked up. How cheap are they not to have them opened up.

Went to watch our grandson play at the Apex lacrosse tournament today. All the spot a pots were overflowing. Disgusting. You mean to tell me with a 2 day tournament they couldn’t have them cleaned between Saturday and Sunday? I am sure the tournament made a lot of money. They need to spend some of their profits on keeping a healthy environment for everyone.

Kirkwood is the best rec soccer around. Fun games great atmosphere. You could show up in the morning and stay all day and just enjoy the games.

Great space for outdoor sports but fields could be better maintained. While it is expected the playing fields will show some wear and tear, there non playing areas with grass entirely ripped up. Also probably does not help when the place is not in use one can see golf carts flying around on the fields. It is good to see the portable bathrooms being well maintained and those being taken seriously. Parking is a bit of a pain to get in and out as the fields are on a busy road and could be limited depending how many games are being played.
