Powered by GoogleMy son had a great time at the Minecraft 3D printing camp!! He was always so excited telling me all the things he did each day and just couldn't wait to go back the following day. The staff were very friendly and the location was nice. Highly recommend for those whose children are into computers in any way; they have a great variety of programs!
I was a little disappointed. I enrolled my daughter in the Intro to game design. She had a great time and was eager to go everyday but from what she described, she played video games the whole time. That may have been my fault for not calling and asking but I thought they would be doing a simple game design, at least. I was enrolling her for an enrichment opportunity rather just something to do to keep her busy. This did not meet that need.
My son loved the summer camps so much (Lego Mini Robotics and Science Camp) that we held his birthday party there! Kids RoboTech Club hosted their first ever Nerf Games Birthday Party (my son's request) and it was awesome - the decorations, challenges, activities and the organization kept the kids entertained and engaged and no one shot their eye out! We will likely be back next year!
My son had a great time at the Virtual Reality Minecraft summer camp. I must say that communication started out poorly - his original class was canceled due to lack of enrollment. They notified us that they were bumping the starting date back 2 weeks. Then when the new start date rolled around & we hadn't heard any different we assumed the class would start - I decided to call the day of just to be sure & the owner apologetically told us we should have been notified because the class had been canceled altogether. He quickly scheduled us for our choice of summer camp. My son learned new tips & tricks at the camp and came home excited everyday. I do think the stated enrollment fee is high, I was happy to get a Groupon (which they run frequently).
My son did the Game Design and Minecraft Mods Using Java classes. He enjoyed the classes, said it was interactive and teachers were fun and knowledgable. Personally as a parent, I'd like to see a reduction in the fee as the original pricing is quite steep.
