KidScape Productions, founded in 1999, is Reno's youth theatre company, offering summer drama day camps for kids and teens ages 7-17. Week-long camps range from improvisation (9:00am-3:00pm) to full-play production camps (8:30am-5:30pm) that stage a show such as an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, with scene-study and monologue work also offered.

Coming from someone who has been both a student and an instructor, Kid Scape has definitely helped me become a much more confident and sure footed person. It taught me skills on how to navigate social situations and how to always approach things with an open and creative mindset. It gave me the confidence to speak in front of people from a very young age and also taught me to give others the spotlight as well. Not to mention I made some of my closest friends through the camps and classes. As an instructor I can see the differences being made in the students. Students that may be shy and refuse to participate in the first class or two almost always develop some more confidence after a few classes. It was so awesome seeing these kids personalities coming out after a few classes. It is especially cool to watch these kids find their place on stage, and figure out how to navigate a scene and keep it moving forward. Not the mention the owners of this company are two of the sweetest and most supportive people who I have considered mentors for years! All around I cannot recommend Kid Scape enough. I credit a lot of my creativity and confidence from growing up so deeply involved in improv. As a kid who loved to perform, improv class was always the highlight of my week, I never went to class not excited for what was to come.Cannot recommend Kidscape enough!
