Booked my 5 year olds birthday like 6 weeks in advance, sadly the day of the party was freezing and super windy. I called the night before to ask about details of the pavilion, how far it was from the indoor pool, ect and was told that the pavilion had 3 sides and one open side so the wind and rain likely wouldn’t be an issue and that it was a short walk to the indoor pool. Could have moved the event had they just said what it really was - a literal open tent with baby gate style sides over 100 yards away from the indoor pool. So now I have 15 people, babies, and a bunch of small kids there and would not be having my guests to the party sitting in 50 degree windy weather soaking wet. Didn’t use the pavilion, actually didn’t do the party at all. Swam at the indoor pool and had to find another venue for the party. Every single question I asked the whole day the staff said “I don’t know”. Couldn’t tell me what was included, if I had already paid for any admission, if there was anything we could do. I asked if our pavilion fees ($100 for the pavilion and a cleaning fee) could be applied to the admissions of the indoor pool because we didn’t use it and the staff really misled us the night before. The manager told her “no because technically the pool was open they could have used it”. You’re right, but a little human decency is also technically possible. It’s an aquatic center, not some fancy thing that everyone is banging the doors down on, you would have lost nothing. Everyone had a terrible time, we were there for an hour, and are out $210. Terrible service, a gross indoor pool, and horribly trained employees. The weather wasn’t their fault, the experience in general was. Not to mention, half of the time when you asked them something they just didn’t even respond and stared at me. It was literally embarrassing to have the birthday party here.

Workers are extremely rude for no reason. Came in with my friends, walked two steps through the door when they told us to leave. I guess they thought we were supposed to be in school but we couldn't get one word in. Ive called before and they just gave me attitude the whole time just for asking a simple question.

To start off, the outdoor options for this pool are amazing in the summertime. But this has by far the smallest and worst indoor pool of anywhere in the state. It seriously needs a huge rework. They have huge murals covering all of the windows, so the inside is dark and dingy as well.

Fitness classes are so fun!! I recently have been trying out the fitness classes at the rec center and they seriously are amazing! As someone who has been anxious on where to start when working out here is fantastic try out different classes! I instantly felt welcomed getting to workout with a group of people in all different fitness levels was super motivating highly recommend you to try them out My current favorite is Xtreme Hiphop and Yoga! Excited to try them all out

Very disappointing even moreso for a Saturday. Entire Main kiddie attraction was off, so was the flower sprinkler, only one of the diving boards was not blocked off. Go to the snack bar and they have no Coca-Cola nor Dr Pepper. Nothing on the web page saying that the kids attraction was out. There were tons of birthday parties and because half of everything was closed they were crammed into a single pool. Walked around also and there's so many disorganized plastic barriers everywhere, it made it look like everything was under construction. Had to go to the Oval for a soda, and the front desk sent me downstairs to a vending machine that was also out. Came back up and there is a snack bar behind the from desk. Rang Bell 4 times, why even have a bell because I had to go and get the front desk attention anyways. For what I would have thought was Olympic level showcase of SLC facilities and training grounds, seemed run down, disorganized, and almost like they could barely keep the lights on. I've been to the oval years ago for skating and curling, this is the first time for the pool, which if it were working might be good, but now I'm not sure I'll return to either.
