Island Gymnastics, founded by Beth Goodell in 1990, has run gymnastics on Martha's Vineyard for over 35 years from its West Tisbury gym, with programs from recreational through nationally ranked competitive levels. Its summer offering is a week-to-week class program on Monday and Wednesday mornings for ages 4.5-12, plus monthly Friday-morning classes for ages 1-14, rather than a full- or half-day camp. Competitive gymnasts train two mornings a week at Bronze/Level 2 and three mornings a week from Excel Silver/DP Level 3 up to Elite.

Beth runs a tight ship while communicating huge amounts of enthusiasm about gymnastics to young beginners. I understand she knows her way around the more senior levels as well. I've had three children go through her summer programs and they all relished the chance to learn and then show off their newfound skills. Beth is a great communicator with parents and flexible with scheduling for both Islanders and the summer-folks like us who drift through for a week or two. Highly recommended.
