I’ve been a longtime fan and supporter of this improv group, and I still have a lot of appreciation for what they do. Over the years, I’ve had many genuinely fun and memorable experiences here, which is why I kept coming back and even became a subscriber for a time. What stands out most is the talent and commitment of the cast—they’re clearly passionate performers who aren’t afraid to take creative risks and explore new directions with their comedy. The shows have evolved, and while the style has shifted at times, it’s evident they’re putting themselves out there and trying to keep things fresh and relevant. I also really value the sense of community they’ve built. Having known some of the cast over the years, it’s clear there’s a lot of heart behind what they do, and that comes through in their performances. When the energy clicks, it can still be a really engaging and unique experience. Even though my personal taste in comedy may lean more toward the lighter, more playful style I originally fell in love with, I respect their willingness to grow and experiment. If you’re open to different perspectives and enjoy improv that isn’t afraid to push boundaries, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

Attended recently for the first time and had a great time! Comedy was fun and clean, and it was a great way to spend time with friends. Shows are cheaper if you go on weekdays vs weekends, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. The musician doing improvisation on piano and guitar was phenomenally talented. And the cast was entertaining and had some real standout talent. Would love to return again sometime. Only complaint would be that the second act story seemed to drag on a bit long and it would have been fun to have more audience participation games in the second half.

Update. Former five star has lost its charm and it's humor. I have now walked out of one or two shows because of how politically focused and sarcastic it has become. I'm not sure what happened. No longer family friendly due to content on adult themes and their absolute obsession with LGBT topics. There is a difference between inclusivity, and being politically obnoxious. Do I really want to watch a improv "comedy" show about a dude having a gay affair with his boss and murder? No I don't. Further I think that several of the core cast display arrogance/we know better vibe. I used to come here often (was a subscriber) because it was a great , fun escape and every time I've tried to give them another chance over the last couple years, I walk away disappointed. If I'm trying to be objective, my evaluation would be that their cast has blurred personal grievances with society with improv. No longer feels like the thoughtful and giving art that it used to be. The charming comedy is dead. It no longer feels fun, and I'm sorry to say it because many of the cast have been my friends over the years. Just seems like the effort is lacking, the joy and playfulness had been replaced with sarcasm.

I figured Improv Broadway would be a kitschy, goofy affair. I didn’t anticipate laughing uncontrollably. I was wrong. It was SHOCKING how funny the improv here was. They do a fantastic job. I’ve been twice with two completely different casts, and both were great. Plus, it’s practically free. I can’t think of a better date night plan!
