★Isabella NaylorDO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Mrs. Kelly has a history of fat shaming not only her students but also the teachers. She has drove many people away from her studio due to bullying and lack of kindness. I’ve never had any problems with the teachers they are amazing! However I know from personal experience Mrs. Kelly excluded me from participating in finale because of my size. She makes unprofessional comments about other students very loudly in front of others, and during one of the finale practices last year she made a kid cry for having to leave. Many kids are leaving this year and won’t be returning because they are fed up with how they are being treated.

My three-year-old daughter just started with ignite this season, and it has been the most precious experience to watch her grow in confidence, joy, and excitement each week. Ms. Kelly is incredibly patient, kind, and nurturing with the little ones, and makes each class feel fun while still introducing the basics of ballet in such a gentle and age-appropriate way. The environment is so warm and welcoming, which made the transition so easy for my daughter as a beginner. She looks forward to every class and comes home so proud of what she’s learned. It’s truly the sweetest thing! I’m so grateful we found this studio and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to introduce their child to dance in a loving and positive atmosphere. 💗🩰
★Samantha MclaughlinVery weirded out!! This is about the New Newport Richey Studio. When I called to see about putting my daughter into ballerina classes I let them know like look my daughter just turned 3 2 weeks ago she also just learned how to really communicate well a couple of months ago and she also has never been in a class of any kind including not even a day care. The very nice lady on the phone said that was totally fine and it’s not to serious since they’re so young. I was like great okay….so then we get there my daughter and me are so excited she had the biggest smile on her face there was only one other girl in the class probably around 4 1/2. My daughter and her start playing around and this teacher is taking the class soooo seriously. Was my daughter not doing to well at listening? No she wasn’t…she would do some stuff and then would run a round and wanted to look in the mirror at her outfit but this teacher looked so pissed at my daughter stomping her feet picking up my daughter all aggressive kinda multiple times which is weird to me like this is my daughters first class you do not know her well enough to pick her up like that and she would get so close to her face and start talking to her. It was my daughters first ever class and with only one other girl and I feel like she might of done better if there were more girls and instead of waiting untill the class was over to tell me maybe she wasn’t ready to start classes yet or instead of signaling for me to come get my daughter myself she runs up to my daughter looking so mad and runs my daughter out of the room meanwhile my daughter is bawling her eyes out. TERRIBLE. I feel like my poor daughter and I got her first cute ballerina experience ripped apart from us and I’m terrified to bow even ever try to go somewhere again. That lady is a weirdo

After moving from NY a few years ago, we were looking for a studio where she would not only grow as a dancer but a place for her to make lasting friendships and we truly found that at Ignite. She joined the competition team this year, and it has been remarkable to see her advancement in skill level and confidence. The instructors have pushed her to succeed to her best ability all while having fun! We love our dance family!
