We’ve been iCode customers on-and-off through the $25 game night parties, so I felt comfortable trying a 1-day camp ($99), with aggressive plans to move up to a 5-day camp ($499) this Spring and eventually the belt program ($2,475ish) this Fall. Unfortunately, the 1-day camp didn’t deliver what was advertised. We were asked to go to a different CITY (under the same ownership) on short notice, and the Drone Code Programming with Python 3 curriculum was completely replaced with what appeared to be 3D Innovators. I wasn’t told about this change beforehand; in fact, we were reassured by the director, Ashley, that “they are prepared for you guys to come!” which gave the impression everything was on plan. My son came home with only a small piece of filament (see pic), and what he actually worked on didn’t match what we paid for. It would be embarrassing for my customers who signed up specifically for 3D Innovators to only come home with a string of plastic due to broken equipment. When I raised the issue, iCode issued a refund, which I appreciate—but the response included the line, “We normally don’t offer refunds.” That is not the correct response when a program doesn’t deliver the advertised curriculum. A refund isn’t a favor—it’s the right outcome when the service fails. The bigger problem isn’t the money—it’s trust and execution. A free class doesn’t fix that, because if a paid program didn’t deliver, why would a free one be any different? As another reviewer summed it up, “I'm not paying hundreds to thousands of dollars when I know the teachers don't even know what they are doing, embarrassing to say the least.” Same, girl. Same. All the goodwill built up disappeared in one experience. Families considering higher-cost programs should know that marketing, execution, and transparency may not align. I only found out because I asked my son the right questions. This incident led me to find another program elsewhere. The director did not respond with an explanation of what happened (again, under the same ownership) nor has she engaged with the feedback sent over email, so consider any response here as disingenuous.

Great experience with iCODE Plano! The enrollment process was smooth and welcoming, and Ashley was especially helpful — patient, accommodating, and eager to explain all the program options. We’re impressed by the range of classes offered, from beginner coding and robotics to fun, creative tech challenges that are perfect for young kids. The curriculum seems engaging and thoughtfully designed to build important skills like critical thinking and creativity. Our 6-year-old can’t wait to start. Highly recommend iCODE Plano!
