We were with HSC for 6 years. 1 in Recreational, and 1 in Competitive. Early on, communication wasn't the best, but the staff really cares about developing the players and program. The club has grown so much, which comes with its own challenges, but the staff has always been responsive, compassionate, and dedicated. The competitive program provided amazing coaches and resources for those who pay attention.

Could easily give one star, but I suppose I gave two as things incrementally improved over the season (or perhaps we just got used to it.) It was our fourth season in youth soccer but our first in Hoover. Easily the most disorganized and frustrating experience thus far. The potential may be there for this club, but the leadership is not. Our expectations are modest and reasonable because after all, this is for children. Sadly, however, the entire season was a big letdown. Even the young children noticed the differences in this club and the previous. Perhaps it’s great once kids get to 9 and older, but until then, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

HSC is on the rise. Paul the HSC rec director is working hard to organize and streamline the rec program. My son has played for the past two seasons and I will sign my second son up in the fall (and then sign up the youngest when she is old enough). Ignore the negative reviews from last year, since Paul has taken over the program, it has improved significantly. Update 2021: I have two soccer players in the rec program. Paul does a great job of organizing teams and games. This is good program for beginners and soccer players.

My son has been playing with the Hoover Soccer Club since 2012 when he was just 4 years old. He started with recreational league and moved to competitive in 2016. We have always had a positive experience with the club and strongly believe you get out what you put in. There have been several changes internally over the past few years that resulted in poor communication at times and I can understand some parents' frustration. However, I have seen many positive changes over the last 12 months and have confidence in this Board of Directors and this coaching staff. We're happy to be a part of the Hoover Soccer Club and look forward to helping it grow.

What a great soccer club! I've been involved with HSC as a parent and occasional volunteer for 8 years. All three of my kids have played from U4 up to U12 - recreational and competitive. The professional coaches (competitive) are excellent and the volunteers are easy to work with and also deliver great coaching. They have proven to be open minded to suggestions from participants and continue to develop the program. I have never, not once, felt unwelcome or unheard. The children (my children) have certainly gained new friends, sportsmanship, and soccer skills over the years. Hoover is a big town and HSC continues to experience growth; the club is handling the growth well and adjusting to changes nicely. thanks HSC!!
