By far the worst aau experience we ever had. If your kid isn’t top level they just throw them on a random team. We had random coaches. Random kids who didn’t even pay, playing on the team and taking minutes from kids who actually paid. Also had random kids coaching when hooptech coaches didn’t show up…among other things. Great facility. But that’s it. Pay a little extra and go to TNBA in Avon.

I had a personally awful experience with HoopTech AAU. Started off the season with 5 cancelled practices in a row before being thrown into a tournament blindly WITH NO JERSEYS OR COACH. We eventually started practicing and got our jerseys but didnt do much more other than basic spot up shooting drills and scrimmage with practices starting later and ending earlier than supposed to. Throughout the season we had a plethora of random coaches come to our games usually with the game already started. Unsurprisingly ended just like it started with no coach for our first game and somebody finally shows up for the second half of game two. One of my teammates started to show frustration once this coach finally shows up and the coach blamed him and said at our age we should be able to coach ourselves for a game or two, but didnt we pay an already excessive amount for the so called elite coaching? I would if possible get a refund as $695 for the team fee is insane just to play in local tournaments no more than 30-45 minutes away. Overall awful experience would have rather just not played AAU at all this season with most of my teammates as well as their parents agreeing with my frustration. Terrible organization and specifically Dan who takes hours or even days to respond to basic questions IF he chooses to respond to you. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

My son had try-out there. After that- I called a couple times to find out if he is accepted. After I finally had a chance to talk with the owner he told me my son is accepted and we should wait for invitation email to pay, etc. Three weeks later and still nothing. My son was so excited. I am tired to call them millions times. Very disappointed. For the money they charge for a season ($750) they should be calling the customers. Poor communication and lack of organization.

HoopTech is a state-of-the-art facility—clean, beautifully equipped, and clearly designed with athletes in mind. From the moment we walked in, the staff was exceptional, from the front desk to the coaching team. Sierra, in particular, stood out. She was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and approachable. She consistently checked in with our daughter at different stations, offering helpful instruction and constructive feedback. Her teaching moments were both encouraging and informative. We also appreciated that she took the time to speak with us directly—it showed a genuine commitment to communication and care. The overall atmosphere was positive, welcoming, and focused on growth. We highly recommend HoopTech to athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Lots of things to do here with practicing your shooting skills and playing a game with the ball and hit your target. I go here to watch my son-in-laws games every Saturday. The staff is very friendly they have great coaches and overall great atmosphere.
