Powered by GoogleGREAT front desk team, GREAT instructors for all classes i have taken [swimming/ cardio/LesMilles BodyPump/water aerobics], easy to view schedule online, GREAT gym equipment; highly recommend
Great Y. Spacious, clean and organized. Has gym, gymnasium, pools, hot tub, sauna l, all purpose rooms and locker rooms. Friendly staff. Never too crowded.
I’ve generally had good experiences at this YMCA, but the sauna area has become increasingly uncomfortable and could really use better oversight. Basic sauna etiquette doesn’t seem to be enforced—people regularly enter without proper footwear, sweat is left on benches and floors, and there’s very little consideration for cleanliness or shared use. I also tried asking the front desk general questions about sauna policies and expectations, and the interaction felt dismissive rather than helpful. It would be reassuring to see clearer guidelines posted and staff support when members raise concerns. Given how many members use the sauna, it might also be worth exploring designated women-only times or at least stronger enforcement of existing etiquette standards. The facility has a lot of potential, but this is an area that would really benefit from more attention.
The Hillsborough YMCA is a nice community gym with a good mix of equipment, classes, and a clean pool area. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming for all ages. It can get busy at peak times, but overall, it’s a reliable and comfortable place to work out and stay active.
I absolutely love this place. The staff are friendly, and the environment is amazing. It's very welcoming, and I love the members. I would highly recommend coming to this locate. My son goes to daycare here, and he loves his teacher and friends.
