My 3 month old daughter has attended KinderCare Hiawatha for the last two months. I rate them 10 out of 10. Shanna and Maggie are amazing. They made me feel very comfortable and assured me, I was making the right decision. I also want to give a special thanks to the other Women who care for my daughter. Especially Melissa. Thank you all!

I have no bad things to say about Hiawatha Kindercare. The staff are great about communication and are very transparent regarding all of your concerns and questions. I enjoy seeing all the updates of the activities they do throughout the day to keep the children engaged and learning. While it’s never easy to drop your child off for the day, it makes it easier knowing that they truly care for the kids like their own. I highly recommend them for your littles.

I honestly couldn’t imagine sending our children (3 and 10 months) to any place other than Hiawatha Day School! When we began looking for a center for our oldest, we toured almost every place in town. I had/have incredibly high expectations for childcare and Hiawatha Day School was the only one that met (and then exceeding) all of them. I love the fact there is only one room per age group which promotes a very “family” like atmosphere. Because of this, all the staff know the children and the families which adds even more of a personal touch. I love how there is a focus on routine and predictability rather than a free for all, play all day approach like I saw at some centers we toured. Their cleaning processes are also top notch and the center is always very clean and secure. The school also has wonderful, personal touches like having someone come in and do music with the classrooms, organizing baby chicks to be brought to the school in the springtime, working with the community to have fire trucks and police officers come for safety week and hosting an annual spring musical for families (and these are just a few of the many examples!). Yes, the center is more expensive than other places in town, but I truly believe you get what you pay for and the product at Hiawatha Day School is worth every single penny. As a working mom, I knew when sending my kids to a center I was going to be paying someone to help me raise them, and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better place to rise to that ask!

Hiawatha Day School is fabulous! They have the most kind, caring and attentive teachers/staff you could ever ask for. They offer so many extras for the kids (sports, dance, field trips)! I'm so grateful to them and glad they take such good care of us and all the other families that go here. I couldn't recommend them enough to anyone that wants great care and education for their children! They definitely go above and beyond for the children and their families!

First of all we applied a few years ago when my oldest was just over 1 and pregnant with 2nd. They had a 1 year wait at the time and had constant communication with miss Carolyn and the owner. We were able to get both of our kids in after waiting 9 months. I will tell you why the 9 month wait to get into this school was WELL worth it. Please see below 😀 We have a 4 year old in JR K and a 1.5 year old in the toddler room. We have been with Hiawatha Day school sense our 4 year old was 2. This was this best decision we have ever made. They focus on each child and their needs. They customize plans and insure education is a focus even in the infant room. (Infant room even sticks to your schedule not making you switch to their schedule-that was a HUGE plus) The teachers are purely amazing and a special shout out to Miss Carolyn who rocks at helping run the HDS. She knows every family and truly cares for the children as if they were your own. Our lives have changed a ton and seen a HUGE academic improvement in both of our children. •They feed only home cooked meals and it always smells yummy in that kitchen. •concerts •report cards •progress reports daily and a HUGE focus on -reading -Spanish -behavior issues addressed privately with parents so parents know how to help correct behavior such as biting and as a class the kids focus on a "no biting zone" talk about how to deal with conflict etc. how they support the families who go here is purely amazing. •they have actual teachers in each room and a program for early child care after school staff from the local colleges and Xavier high school. We will be sad when the day come our two kiddos have to go to another school. Love you HDS!
