HCC - Wentland Family Sports Complex
Private
A 32-acre outdoor sports complex in Loves Park operated by the nonprofit Harlem Community Center, with 15 ball diamonds (four to six of tournament quality), basketball and sand volleyball courts, a walking path and a SkateWorks skate area. The complex is a venue for the center's youth baseball and softball leagues and for tournaments rather than a camp site. The Harlem Community Center's own Summer Day Camp, for ages 5-8 and 9-13, runs June 1 to August 7 from 6:45am-5:30pm at $185 per week and is held at the community center at 900 Roosevelt Rd in Machesney Park, not at this complex.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact HCC - Wentland Family Sports Complex directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleThe removal of the wooden playground destroyed this park for older (preteen) kids who just want to run around and play. This was the last one in the area to take them to because all of the equipment at the other parks is meant for younger kids. 1 star is too high of a review.
We love the walking path at wentland, it's a great size for our pups to make it fully around without getting too hot. So many fields to do so many different activities during off-season for sports.
Nice wooden park with rock climbing wall. Also has a skate park my little ones got a chance to use it today because no one was there.
Zero slides, zero swings. Garbage cans were overflowing. I guess wooden parks do not last very long.
This park used to be nice, but now it looks abandoned. No upkeep what so ever and benches are falling apart so no where to sit. This used to be our favorite place to go, but as I am standing here I think we won't be back. It is sad because this park has potential and used to be one of the better ones around.
