The Handmade Music School runs the Floyd Youth Get Together, a five-day traditional Appalachian music and dance camp held each June at the Floyd EcoVillage. Campers ages 7 to 13 at all levels take interactive classes in fiddle, clawhammer banjo, guitar, mandolin, singing and dance, and join music jams, community dances, games, Appalachian arts and outdoor activities. On-site lodging -- camping, cabins and bermed lodge rooms -- is available at the EcoVillage for students and their families.
